There’s nothing like living in a construction zone! My live-in flip is complete. I am proud to have accomplished the following:
Installation of high-efficiency Bosch natural gas combi boiler. This combines baseboard hot water heat and on-demand hot water.
Transition from oil to natural gas for heat source.
Installation of 5-burner natural gas range to replace electric range.
Removal of kitchen wall to create open floor plan between living room and kitchen.
Exposure of brick chimney, previously covered in plaster.
Installation of sliding glass door on southwest face of the house to maximize natural light potential and provide direct access to the backyard.
Installation of custom deck.
Installation of 12’ diameter circular patio, comprised of white marble chips to match the white marble kitchen counter.
Landscaping with juniper shrubs, rhododendrons, ornamental grasses, herbs, a Japanese maple, and grass. (There was no grass when I arrived. The yard was dirt, asphalt chunks and trash.)
Installation of outdoor spigot that provides both cold and hot water. This is great for dog baths!
Installation of outdoor electrical outlet next to driveway for vacuuming vehicles and operating a small electric snowblower for the 2-car driveway.
Painting the bathroom and kitchen.
Installation of handrail on stairs to bring home up to code.
